Hello

SEZ WHO?

TWIXT ME AND THEE

Everybody asks me.  And I always give the same answer.

Question:  What sites have you worked on?

Answer:  Well, quite a few.  But, no, I can't tell you which ones.

Truly, I'm not being evasive.  Let's put it this way:  You and I have worked together to find a really cool niche, a bunch of strong keywords, a great approach.

Then I go and post it in this website for everyone to see.

Just what would you think of me then?

I have absolutely tremendous respect for my clients.  Over the course of time they become friends.  And I simply cannot list their sites here for all to see.  Their site concepts are confidential.  Their keywords are confidential.

And yours will be too.

I just don't talk about my clients' sites.  But ...

Torti are just wonderful folk.  I am very pleased that several of them have been kind enough to say nice things about me in the Forums.  This is pretty public information, so I feel comfortable sharing some of it with you.

From Ken Evoy, our fearless leader:

Mary Ann,

Sheer brilliance!

To anyone reading this post, please read the first two posts at the top of this page. Mary Ann's reply is more than just turning lemons into lemonade, and very creatively I must add (which itself is a tremendous lesson)! Smile

It's a post about attitude. It is totally natural for Joanna to respond the way she did. It's infuriating to see low-lifes copy your brainpower. Bit then...

... and another kind comment from Ken:

MaryAnn,

Spot on answer at...

http://forums.sitesell.com/viewtopic.php?p=218435#218435

That's exactly what I was getting at when I said the answer is under your nose to Thomas. There are some other excellent answers here (ex., Gehri's info complements nicely too).

But MaryAnn hit the bulls-eye. The point of the exercise...

It can be hard to see what is under your nose without a mirror. Smile

All the best,
Ken

From torti of all sorts, newbie and oldies:

I needed some help with my first site and found a great coach to help me. So, with help from my SBI coach, I have a major goal. To build 106 pages on great keywords that she found!

Thanks for answering my question. I was literally stuck for days not knowing what to do. This makes me much more confident.
Thanks again.

Thanks MaryAnn - some very appropriate words for me there!

You are a really good coach and I appreciate you help.

Thanks for the help on deciding which theme to pursue.

I like your idea.

Having this forum available is great. When you try to talk to someone about what you are doing it becomes very difficult to explain. Therefore especially difficult to get any good feedback.

Tks again.

Paula

Thanks for the succinct explanation of what I am doing with the key words. I am trying to get through days 2 and 3 and this greatly helps me understand. I wish it was stated so clearly in the guides I am stumbling through.

Sean

Julien,
Your hunch is right. You will be lucky to rank well sometime in your lifetime with a Supply of hundreds of thousands or millions FOR THAT KEYWORD.

But you don't need that keyword to have a successful web site.

How are your T2 and T3 keywords? Is the Supply low enough there so you can rank well? Can you find 50-100 strong "low hanging fruit" to get your site started?

If so, you probably do have a strong concept. It doesn't hurt to have a difficult primary keyword. At some point down the road (actually several years, not several lifetimes), you will start ranking. And when you do, the traffic generation will be substantial.

Best,
MaryAnn

Thanks, that's some great advice Very Happy

And recently one of my new clients joyfully exclaimed (after our very first meeting):  "MaryAnn, you are worth your weight in gold!"   Little did she know how many diets I have fallen off of.

Seriously, you are welcome to track down my posts in the Forums. It's all there, warts and all.  I shudder now when I look at some of my early posts.  But so be it.  We are here, now.  And I would love to share some of my information with you.
