Introduction from Australia

by Eddie Mace
(W.A Australia)

Hi Mary Ann, Thank you for creating this site, I can see great value in it.

To introduce myself. I am an Australian, 87 years old and have been working hard familiarising myself with SBI for the past 8 weeks. What a fantastic site you have all created. Whilst full marks go to Ken as the creator, however it obviously has been a joint effort. It's amazing what can be achieved with a great leader.

I have been averaging about 5 hours per day study and have progressed to the point where I shall be ready to start day 4. I need to further familiarise myself with the terminology etc then will probably avail myself of your coaching xpertise.Unfortunately my mental faculties have slowed down a little and I have of necessity to follow in the turtles footsteps. I place great importance in really understanding what I am doing at this stage as misunderstanding or not understanding will plague us as we try to move forward. Its great to know you will be there when I need your professional guidance

One of the possible problems I see is the large time difference, we are about 12 hours ahead of your time zone.

Welcome to our Down Under Chums

Eddie,
It is very nice to have you stop by our little forum. Be sure to visit the "big" forum in SBI and introduce yourself there as well. You will discover slews and slews of very friendly, very helpful people.

Yes, I understand about the time difference. Actually, I am in California, so it is not quite as bad as if I were on the Eastern seaboard. I have indeed worked with SBI-ers in Australia and New Zealand. Depending on the time differences, it can be anywhere from noon to evening time for you when we meet. And, should it not work out for us to work together, I don't doubt that one of the SBI coaches would be geographically closer to you.

As for the muddled feeling ... well, we've all had it. Those first few days are just the dickens. And they are very important. So keep on tortoising, and do stop by either forum whenever you need help.

Best,
MaryAnn
