E-Junkie Questions

by Nikhileshwari
(Denver, CO, USA)

Hi MaryAnn,

I discovered e-junkie on my own, and asked some ?'s about it in the SBI forums, but couldn't get any responses except "...I dropped the idea because the site was too complicated to understand." I kept thinking how am I going to figure this out, and then your e-guide was on Ken Evoy's blog! Yay!

So here's my question - what is your opinion of Google checkout vs. ClickBank or PayPay?

Here is what I will be selling - mp3 downloads, DVDs, quite possibly 1-3 e-books, and books - which I am trying to get listed on Amazon. It's complicated.

Here's another question - I haven't been able to set up a demo with e-junkie because I wanted to try the Google checkout and couldn't finish the set up because I need my Fed Tax ID #, which I just applied for. It won't be here for 2 more days... :(

Obviously I'm a new businessperson.

Also, does the functionality of e-junkie work in the SBI blocks? Or do I have to go to a html template? Help!

E-Junkie vs ClickBank and PayPal
by: MaryAnn

I have not tried Google Checkout, so I'm not the one to offer an opinion on it. I looked into it a couple of years ago, and my recollection is that it only worked in the US. That may have changed by now.

ClickBank has a nice option with its ebook listings for potential affiliates. If your ebooks is something you want affiliates for, that may be your best choice. (E-Junkie's store isn't nearly as good.)

PayPal is a payment processor, not a shopping cart.

E-Junkie is the Shopping Cart. It supplies the "Click to Buy" and "View Shopping Cart" buttons to put on your site. Once people have made their choices, they can pay via ClickBank, PayPal or a bank service. I chose PayPal processing because it is comfortable for most people to use, and has a nice interface with E-Junkie.

To get the E-Junkie code into BlockBuilder, just copy it and paste it into any TEXT block. If you have other text there, that's fine. Just pick the spot where you want the buttons to go, and paste the code in. You can also put it into a separate TEXT block if you want to.
