Contribute Your Business Story

by David-Gerrrad
(London,England)

Hi MaryAnne,

Your newsletters have always interesting and a great help to me- and this forum is such a great idea. Well Done!

My QUESTION.

I have a newish section on my website which ask people to contribute their small business stories which can be on any business expereince e.g Franchise, Internet Business, Traditional Business, Work as Home Moms, MLM etc.

By contributing your personal story people can relate better and are more likely to feel inspired, encouraged and motivated to start their own small business.Through your words you have the chance to be someones personal mentor, tutor or support.

In your opinion where is the best place to ask people to contribute? (they also get a free link back to their site) I have thought about posting in the SBI forums, but not sure if this will be a suitable request or in which forum to place such as request.

At the moment I am sending out individual emails to websites as I see them, but this is very time consuming.Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

When you have a moment please feel free to check out the contribution page:

Thanks for all your help in advance

Kind Regards

David

Encouragement to others
by: Shayne North

Dear David,
I would love to post an encouragement on your site. I do not have a nuts and bolts story of how to make a million selling mail stuffing materials. However, I do have a bunch of insight about following your dreams and talents, which God blesses us all with. We all have a gift which someone else, many 'someone elses' want! and with the internet and SBI, there are few talents that cannot go www.

I will work on that message for your site. I do not know if a back link to my site of depression-and-anxiety-recovery.com would hurt us both or not, since our keywords might be dissimilar.

I am excited for your work!

Small Business Stories
by: MaryAnn

David,
You have a very nice site! As for getting stories, I have a couple of suggestions.

1. I believe you can post on The Forums, in the Water Cooler I think. I know the C2.0 submission question comes up in the Moderator's group every so often, and I don't recall the latest decision. But go ahead and try posting. Note in your post that if it is not appropriate, the Mod can delete.

2. Try posting on HARO (Help A Reporter Out). It is Ed Shankman's way of spreading good karma throughout the world. Help A Reporter.

3. One of the writer's sites, I think it is Elance, allows you to post "little" jobs. Try posting for submissions, with a payment of 25 cents or 50 cents to the first 10-20 submissions. (It may not be Elance. If someone knows for sure which site it is, let us know.)

And all who see this: Well ....

Best,
MaryAnn
(Yes, I did post)
