Link Building #2: Forum posts (They seem to come in glumps, don't they)

Finding forums that might give you a link is a real good addition to blog postings.

Here's the search string to use in a Google search box to find forums on your topic that will likely get indexed. (This string is for the keyword "business"):

+business +forum +topic +reply

Exactly like that, with the "+" signs. If your site topic were "petunias", I would suggest that you replace "+business" with "+flowers" or "+gardening". Going broad will help you capture more forums in your field.

Most of us need to give more attention to our incoming links, and both blogging and forums are two great ways. Remember, those are both ways of getting ONE WAY INBOUND LINKS, the very best kind. You don't have to give links to anybody else when you get a ONE WAY INBOUND LINK, so Google gives it an extra brownie point.

Here's to happier link building for us all!

I'll see you in the Forums.

Best,

MaryAnn
