IT'S A SAD
DAY IN MUDVILLE
Every so often I'd like to take Google behind
the barn and spank it. This is one such time.
Google has decided now that ad blocks cannot
appear just below headlines that make it appear that the headline is
linked to the ads. (emphasis is mine) See here:
http://adsense.blogspot.com/2008/03/another-look-at-optimizations.html
Some placements are ok. Some aren't.
There's a lively discussion in the forums about
what to do. See here:
http://forums.sitesell.com/viewtopic.php?t=74446&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
... or what NOT to do.
Personally, I have changed one of my sites so
that I have a short paragraph above the AdSense ad in the upper left
hand corner. I didn't change the other site because it is 300+
pages, all of which are formatted in that fashion.
I do hope that, as someone mentioned, Google is
only targeting un-good sites and that SBI sites are ok. I bring
this to your attention because it is important. You be the judge
whether or not you need to do anything. I'm sorry, I can't help
you a whole lot here. All I know if what I read, and that, as
usual, is less than crystal clear.
Back it up, Back it up, waaaaaay
up!
On a
cheerier note, I have at long last actually taken steps to back up my
computer. Every single day. For about $5 a month.
Here's the service one of my online buddies recommended:

It backs up emails, documents, folders, etc., as
often as you like. And I'm sleeping a whole lot easier. (And
here all this time, you thought I was backing up all the pearls of
wisdom I sent everyone.)
I'll see you in the Forums.
Best,
MaryAnn
