OK, I'm getting nervous.

Ken Evoy hasn't been around the Forums lately. At all. That could mean one of two things: (1) He is hidden away on an island that no mortal can find, or (2) he is getting ready to let loose with the next round of SSTs.

I'm guessing it's the latter.

I know his top priority right now is Content 2.0. And I would really be excited if that is coming out of beta.

But right up there on top of the list is the new Brainstormer, with more reliable data gathered by SBIdy, our very own spider. If that is so, I am also excited. But I also have a suggestion for many of you.

You have probably put a lot of work into your present Master Keyword List, and probably aren't too wild about having some of the data inaccessible to you. So I would suggest that you save that MKL to your desktop, kind of like a security blanket.

To save it, open MS Excel. Then open your MKL. Make sure that "All" is selected in the drop down menu at the the top. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click on "EXPORT ALL". When it asks, choose, "OPEN WITH MS EXCEL". Click "OK". All the data will be automatically copied into Excel.

You can then format your WordTracker data to have no decimals.

Save the whole thing as an "xls" file, not a "cvs" file.

The Excel file won't have the functionality of your MKL, so don't expect a lot out of it. It is simply a way of holding onto the raw data. You will now have your old list safe and sound, just in case you want to look at it nostalgically.

I'll see you in the Forums.

Best,

MaryAnn
